LegalPrivacy notice
Tunix.io collects as little personal data as we can. This page summarises what we collect, why we process it, and how long we keep it.
Who is the data controller?
The data controller for personal data collected through this site is TUNIX UK HOLDING LTD ("Tunix.io", "we"), a company incorporated in England & Wales under Companies House number 17149031, with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
For privacy matters: contact@tunix.io.
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it
We only process the data we need to operate this site and respond to you.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, subject, message. Used to respond to your enquiry. Kept for 12 months after our last reply, then deleted. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (responding to people who contact us).
- Direct emails to
contact@tunix.io — same categories of data as a contact form message, handled in the same way. - Web analytics (Google Analytics 4) — loaded only if you accept analytics via our cookie banner. GA4 helps us understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, rough geography, device and browser type). Google acts as a processor; IP addresses may be truncated. Lawful basis: consent (UK GDPR / EU GDPR) when you choose Accept; you can decline and still use the site.
- Server access logs — our nginx instance on the VPS (see the legal notice for the hosting provider) records request metadata (IP address, time, URL, user-agent) for up to 30 days for security purposes such as abuse handling and traffic anomaly detection. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (protecting the site).
Who we share data with (processors)
We use a small set of providers bound by data-processing terms. Each one receives only what it needs to deliver its service.
- Contabo GmbH — VPS hosting in Germany. Standard EU data-protection rules apply; see Contabo's data-processing terms for details.
- Web3Forms — relays contact form submissions to
contact@tunix.io. Servers in the United States. Transfers protected by Standard Contractual Clauses. - Google Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — web analytics when you consent. Data may be processed in the United States and other locations under Google's terms and appropriate safeguards (e.g. SCCs). See Google's documentation for retention and categories of data.
- Intuition Machines, Inc. — hCaptcha (bot check) on contact forms only. hCaptcha receives a short-lived visitor signal limited to bot-detection purposes (IP address, browser fingerprint). See hCaptcha's privacy policy for details.
Cookies and similar technologies
We store a small cookie or browser storage value to remember your analytics choice (accept or decline). If you accept, Google Analytics 4 may set or read cookies or similar storage as described in Google's policy. We do not run ad pixels on this site beyond what GA4 may load after you consent.
When hCaptcha is shown on a contact form, it may use short-lived technical tokens to check that you are human; these are not used for advertising. Your cookie-banner choice does not turn hCaptcha on or off.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, in respect of personal data we hold about you, you may:
- Request access to it (a copy of what we hold).
- Ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.
- Ask us to erase it (the "right to be forgotten").
- Ask us to restrict our processing while a request is being investigated.
- Object to processing carried out under legitimate interest.
- Request a portable copy of data you provided.
- Lodge a complaint with the UK ICO (ico.org.uk) or with the data protection authority where you live in the EEA.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@tunix.io. We will usually reply within 30 days.
International transfers
Some processors are located outside the UK and the EEA (for example Web3Forms in the United States). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we process personal data, we will update this page and the version date below.
